Create and open a project

A Warp project has two complementary halves:

  1. Cargo code — the Rust package containing the project’s renderer and application behavior.
  2. warp_app.toml — the data manifest describing identity, window defaults, asset roots, and build targets.

The manifest format is versioned. Its project identity lives in [app]; window defaults live in [window]; asset lookup is described in [assets]; and Cargo build targets are named under [build] and [[build.target]].

Opening a project is a runtime action. The editor can open a manifest without rebuilding the editor itself. The project code is still compiled by Cargo when a target is built.

The checked-in example/warp_app.toml is the clearest small reference in the surrounding source tree. It is a project example, not a promise that every possible manifest field is required.
